Scott’s father was a U.S. Navy Chaplain, and as a kid grew up at naval stations along the California coast, Midway Island, Guam, Hawaii, and Bremerton, WA. Scott fondly remembers riding in the back seat of numerous real estate agents’ cars as his family moved every 3-4 years between U.S. Navy bases. As a result, Scott always had an admiration for the real estate profession. Scott joined our group in April 2019 after a long career in public relations.
Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Hastings College in Mass Communications, Advertising & Public Relations; and has a Master’s Degree from Kent State University in Public Relations. In his spare time, Scott serves as a board member of the Nebraska State Irrigation Association representing Nebraska’s Blue River Basin and is also a graduate of the Nebraska Water Leaders Academy. Scott was elected to the Hastings City Council in 2016 and is serving a four-year term.
Scott’s wife Sarah is an elementary school teacher, and he has three children ages 9, 11, and 13.
Because Scott spent a lot of time growing up in the Pacific Ocean, his hobby is making furniture out of surfboards along with various woodworking projects.
